How YAAS! Works
Young Women Can and Do Get Breast Cancer
A breast cancer diagnosis is difficult, and a diagnosis before the age of 45 brings a unique set of challenges. Young women may feel isolated and overwhelmed by changes in their bodies and their lives. Navigating a sea of medical decisions, job uncertainty, and changes to our relationships can feel daunting.
YAAS recognizes these unique needs. Our network of healthcare providers, community based-organizations, young survivors, metastatic thrivers, patient advocates, and co-survivors works together to raise awareness and provide support for young women diagnosed with breast cancer, their families, and their communities.
It's enlightening to see the different faces and colors of Breast Cancer navigation, and to feel the support from each of them as we introduce patient cases
